Multi Interest Sites, You Know Old School
Everyone is jumping on the Niche site bandwagon, which means there are millions of sites out there with very similar content all fighting for traffic. They are all scrambling to make their own quality content or trying to find private label rights (PLR) articles and Ebooks to put on their site’s pages. A lot of you are working 24 hours a day with not much to show for it.
Multiply Your Sales, Attract People To Your Web Site, Jaw Dropping Ad Copy, Defeat Your Competition, Super-Charge Your Sales. Wow that all sounds like a carnival side show huckster to me!
That leaves little time for enjoying life with your families. I guess that is ok if you just want to be part of the crowd. I on the other hand have always liked being different. Different stands out! Why should I compete with everyone else when I can be an individual with a unique site with tons of quality content?

Stop Trying to Sell People Everything!
Just be! You know, talk about what products you think are the best. If you have tried something lately that really works and provides value for the money, blog about it. Offer tutorials for programs that you know well. Provide free tools for businesses as well as personal use. Write great articles about the many different interests that you have. I can almost bet you that someone else has those interests also and will love to read what you have written. Hints and tips are always welcome. It usually does not matter what they are about because someone will read them.
Now I am not telling you to not ever sell anything but how about going at it in a new and different way. Make the content stand out and the products be there but not slapping people in the face as soon as they go to your site. You can be subtle and still sell stuff! Produce a newsletter, run an auto-responder E-mail series and give away something all the while building up your subscriber list. Personalize your site! Make it an extension of your personality instead of every other internet marketer out there.
The Change
I am in the process of changing my site right now. I started with 1 and 1 web hosting about a year ago for my virtual office business. I set up all the pages with plenty of articles, my references, what services I provided, ethics and legal stuff. Things were going well and I was getting plenty of jobs but was working much more than I wanted to be for the money I was making.
I am adding separate pages for different areas of interests that I have. Internet Marketing, Blogging, Family Stuff, Tips, Product Reviews, Business Tools, PLR Content, Squidoo Lenses and more. A ONE STOP shopping experience for my readers with value added content and plenty of free items also. On those pages, I will be inserting affiliate links, offering articles for sale and advice to help other people do the same thing but without the slap you in the face kind of graphics and writing that everyone else is doing. Internet marketers seem to think that we need to be screamed at all the time in order to buy products. I for one am tired of it so will not do it on my site.
Conclusion
Since I have started implementing these changes on my site, I have seen a dramatic increase in my subscriber list. I have also gotten quite a few E-mails from my readers saying that they like the direction I am moving the site in and want to see more. I really believe that should tell you way more than all the words I’ve written here. So go on and shake things up a bit. Change your site; add fresh, fun content, quality articles and free stuff. You might try throwing in an opinion or review occasionally also and stop getting in your readers faces all the time! Subtlety can be interesting, new and unique. Your subscribers will thank you for it by buying your content and becoming regular customers! Good Luck and let me know how you make out.
