Soldiers Rehab Needs

I was reading the Army Times this morning and saw a story about a soldier that was a hero in Iraq for saving a small boy’s life then came home and died from an overdose of pills. A lot of these soldiers need good rehab programs and one of the best is in Malibu CA.
Professional alcohol rehab and drug dependency treatment faces addiction as it really is: as a clinical disease with precise actual clinical roots. The drug addicts and alcoholics who think that they can heal themselves, without the aid of an addiction treatment program, misconstrue the nature of addiction itself; as is truthful of any disease, dependency can solely be overcome with intense medical attention. Think of it this way: No cancer patient believes that he can beat cancer simply by choosing to do so. The same should represent true for drug addicts and alcoholics, who don’t stand a chance of getting well unless they first admit themselves to a certified addiction treatment center.
Of course, that decision is often an exceedingly difficult one to make. Admitting yourself to a drug or alcohol rehabilitation addiction treatment center signifies facing an objectionable truth: that you have a problem, and that you do not have the ability to solve it by yourself. In and of itself, many drug addicts and alcoholics are hesitant to seek addiction treatment, and are adamant in their insistence that their drug and drinking habits are completely within the scope of their voluntary control. Tragically, that sort of stubbornness can sometimes make the difference between life and death.
The good news is that there are plenty of rehabs in willing and able to help you with alcohol treatment. The only catch is that you have to take the first step. And please, do not wait. The day you begin rehab in will be the day you start rediscovering the world as you used to know it, and yourself as you used to be. It’s well past time you learned that truth for yourself.
